Now i have reason to prepare this rice flour because Masi noonbu is coming so i need to prepare some authentic adai 🙂 so prepared the rice flour at home for the pooja ! Stay tuned for the next post about the Masi Vrtham and Masi Adai
Raw Rice – 2 cup (i took 1/2 kg)
soak the raw rice in the water for 20 to 25 minutes , just immerse level, and drain the water . now allow it wet by spreading the Rice in a white cloth till the moist tendency goes. !
If u have chance u can dry it in the sun light it self , it wll take hardly an hour , if not inside the home it wll take 3 to 4 hrs , Make sure the fan is on !
Once dried Grind in the mixie , if i want some thing more than 1/2 kg of rice i wll give it in the mill and get it grinded , if not i wll grind in the mixie , nicely grind it and sieve it !
Do sieve the flour two times ! Fry the same rice flour in the kadai for 5 minutes make sure it is not turning to red colour ! Keep it in the air tight container and keep it in the fridge !
- Always keep the rice flour (esp home made one) in the fridge not in freezer
- Make sure while grinding it s not that moist otherwise it wont stay for a week !
- When u grind it do batch wise so that u get maximum amt of rice flour !
- Frying part is not necessary this can be done at time of preparation also !
