This kadaisal is a simple south indian kuzhambu by having a available ingredients in your pantry. i tasted this in my co sister house long time back 🙂 Her mother made this as solid one like we prepare for kootu i changed the consistency for my family taste !
Sprouts – 1 cup
Onion – 2 no medium finely chopped
Green chilly – 3 nos
red chilly – 2 nos
garlic – 4 nos without skin
turmeric powder -a pinch
salt – as required
oil – 2tbsp
Boil the sprouts by adding the required amt of salt ,garlic and turmeric, while adding the water for boiling adding enough water just a immerse level not more than that , otherwise u wll see the smashed sprouts.
once boiled take the sprouts and smash using the ladle ,now heat the kadai add the onion saute well and add the red and green chilly , saute for 2 minutes and add the smashed sprouts.if needed add some water to get the required consistency ! generally i use the boiled sprout water. adjust salt .
All ready to go and serve with hot rice 🙂 for kids add some ghee , healthy and tasty sprout kadaisal .
- Make sure the sprouts are not smashed much .
- The only spicyness is green and red chilly so add according to the family taste.
