This kuzhambu is very simple and easy to prepare ! Definitely a different taste because we are adding the tamarind water and coconut milk ! well go with White rice and Dosai !
Shallots (small onion) – 15 nos
Garlic – 10 to 12 peeled
Sambhar powder – 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder – 1tsp
Coconut milk – 100 ml (thin)
Tamarind water -250 ml(make sure not much tangy not much thick adjust with water)
mustard – 1 tbsp
Methi seeds – 1 tsp
red chilly – 5 nos
salt – as required
Oil – 4tbsp
Curry leaves – for aroma sake !
Heat the kadai and pour the oil and once heat add the mustard seeds once cracked add the methi and red chilly saute for 1 minute.
Once the red chilly color changes then add the onion and garlic and saute well ! till the onion and garlic shrinks ! now add the tamarind water and allow it boil once boiled add the salt , turmeric powder and sambhar powder and mix well ! keep the flame in low flame and close the lid
Wait till the quantity reduce to half ! then add the coconut milk and again keep it in the low flame ! for another 5 minutes Tada ! garnish with curry leaves ! the tastiest kuzhambu is ready !
Serve hot with Papad and Potato Curry !
Use the thin coconut milk so that it wont be heavy !
Adjust the tangy taste according to your family !
