Coming to this recipe very easy and handy first of all it wont required any side dish the dish itself is enough to taste ! i had a 3 days short trip to mumbai ! where i went to VT station to taste the authentic Mysore masala dosai remember my post? there i have seen a person preparing this idly fry using the same pav bhaji masala that he used for the dosai ! i didnt ask the recipe ! because by seeing u know what he does !
I tried the same at home ! it was much satisfying recipe and easy one and definitely different taste ! So grab your idly and try it wll take less than 5 minutes !
Idly – 3 nos
Oil – 1tbsp + 1tsp
pav bhajji powder – 1tbsp (adjust according to the taste suits ur family)
mustard seeds – 1 tsp
green chilly – 2 medium size finely chopped
Salt -as required
Heat the pan and add the oil once heat add the mustard seeds and green chilly once cracked add the chopped idly saute for a minute . Then add the pav bhajii powder and adjust salt !
saute till it turns crispy and soft ! if needed add a tsp of oil !
serve hot , does not required any side dish !
- If u want garnish with coriander or curry leaves
- Adding garlic and onion is optional !
- Infact u can prepare the idly day before and freeze it and use it in the next day morning !
