Mutter paneer , paneer butter masala and few more are my standard gravys and recipes , Though i tasted the kadai paneer gravy at restaurant i have not tried at home ! I like paneer items to have it with Rice instead of Rotis ! it well accompany the rice items !
So last week i tried kadai paneer it was super duper tasty ! I took all with hot rice 🙂 believe me guys it wont required any side dish ! just like that u can have !
Paneer cubes -1 cup
Onion – 1 large finely chopped
Tomato -1 medium size finely chopped
capsicum – 1 small finely chopped
Peppers (colored yellow and red ) – 1/2 cup
Turmeric powder – a pinch
Red chilly powder – 1 tbsp
Coriander powder – 1tsp
Tandoori powder – 1 tbsp ( i used the pav powder absotlutely delicious )
Kasturi methi leaves – 1 tsp (finely crushed)
Milk or curd or cream – 1/4 cup
salt – as required
Butter – 1tbsp
Oil – 2tbsp + 1 tbsp
To roast and grind
tomato – 1 large size
Garlic peeled – 5 nos
Coriander seeds – 1tbsp
Red chilly – 3 nos
Roast and grind the above ingredients
Heat the kadai and add the butter and 2 tbsp of oil once heat add the chopped onion and saute till it changes it colors , Then add the chopped tomoto and saute till it oozes it water , then add the capsicum and peppers and saute till semi cook !
Then add the turmeric powder, and other masala powders and saute well so that it mixes well adjust salt and water ! once the raw smell of masala goes , then add the grinded paste and adjust water !
Saute till all the veggies cook ,now add the 1 tbsp of oil and kasthuri methi ,then add the curd or milk or cream and saute then add the paneer and saute well so that the masala’s mix with the gravy ! once cooked off the falme
Serve hot with Rice or roti or parantha !
- The same procedure can be followed for dry subji ~ just take off the grinding part !
- Adding cream or milk or curd wll give the rich look and taste !
- If u want more rich u can saute the paneer in the butter !
