Coming to this recipe i tasted the home made icecream long years ago when my sister prepared ! recently i stopped taking ice creams infact i got ice cream fobia ! But this mango season tempted me to take the ice cream ! this ice cream is easy to prepare and i feel the texture of this ice cream is not like shop made one ! But worth give a try !
Recipe source – 4thsense cooking !
Custard powder – 2 to 3 tbsp ( i used the vanilla custard powder it has mango too )
Milk – 3/4 litre
Sugar – 200 to 300 (but adjust the sweet according to the mango sweetness)
Mango Pulp – 1 cup
Now boil the milk allow it to boil well once boiled remove some 1.2 cup of milk and mix with the custard powder and add the sugar in the boiling milk ! let it rest of 2 minutes ! stir well so that sugar dissolves in the milk !
Now blend the pulp in the mixie and make it puree ! now add the custard powder mix in to the milk and wait till it gets thickening ! then off the flame and allow it to cool !
mix all the ingredients together and grind it well ! pour in to the freezer proof box and allow in to chill for 3 hours and remove it from the freezer and blend it well ! Again keep it in the freezer box and keep it in the fridge ! repeat the process for every 1 hour for 3 intervals !
After some time check and scoop the icecream and decorate with nuts and chocs ! you can even serve with chopped mangoes !
when u are adding the custard powder in to the milk keep stirring otherwise it wll be hard !
