When i receive a Guest i generally prepare Kunuku ! well next to these item recently i tried this Oats adai it came super soft and crispy and i intimated my parents to try immediately because they are diabetic amma says ! super aparna ! it was filling and light!!
Its been long i posted diabetic recipe ! so wanted to post more here one more !
Mixed lentils – 2 cups
Mix all the lentils like dals, bajra, ragi, green peas, sago Which ever u find it healthy mix it ! I used soya chunks too !
Oats – 1 cup (finely powdered)
curry leaves – To hand full
green chilly – 3 to 4 adjust depends on the spicyness
Garlic – 4 to 5
Coconut – 3 to 4 tbsp (u can avoid i added at the time of mixing for the flavor sake)
salt -as required
Soak the mixed lentils along with green chilly and garlic for 4 hours , (listen if u want any peas or channa it wll take more time so adjust the time accordingly)
Grind all the ingredients together and mix with the powdered oats , by adding the coconut and salt adjust the consistency by adding water!
Heat the tawa and pour a drop of oil and spread it over the tawa by using the spatula ! Now pour the batter and make the shape (my husband wants it little crispy so i poured and spread it according to his wish) and make sure your put some whole in the center if the shape is very thick so that it cook evenly and pour the oil .once cooked , flip in to other side and keep it in low medium flame !
wait til cooked 🙂 serve with spicy chutney ! works well !
This will well pair up with chutneys ! and Avial !
- Mixing of lentil is your choice if u want the measurement you can refer my Adai post !
- Do not grind the oats with lentil it wll be mushy !
- adding onion and curry leaves are optional !
- Adding coconut is optional ! infact you can add after grinding the lentil (i.e while pouring the batter)
