My parents visited chennai ! So i am happy to try all calorie added recipes.My mother has got good metabolism 🙂 she can have but she wont put weight 😛 thats a good one right ! So off to the recipe!
Oil – 1tsp
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
urad dal – 1 tsp
curry leaves or coriander leaves – to temper
Oats – 1 cup (powdered)
Wheat rawa – 3/4 cup
salt – as required
Thick curd – 3/4 cup
Water – to adjust the consistency
Carrot – 3 to 4 tbsp shredded
Take a wide bottomed vessel and add the powdered oats and wheat rawa and required amt of salt mix well ! Then add the thick curd and water adjust the consistency according to the level we need !
Temper the batter with the given ingredients under ” To temper” and mix well ! before pouring add the shredded carrot !
Grease the idly plate and pour the batter and steam it for 12 to 15 minutes ! serve hot !
- Alternatively you can add the idly/ dosai batter instead of wheat rawa!
- Use 2 full ladle of batter and adjust the consistency of the batter !
- adding green chilly is other option!
