I am deeply in love with these three months, october, november and december i am sure other bloggers too (especially food) because we have so many recipes to post . So whats up guys ? Tata to Navarathiri and excited about ” DIWALI celebration ” , so coming weeks you can see some few diwali recipes in this space. I am trying to cover both sweets and savory’s . So here you go with the first sweet recipe in my space,. Its “MILK PEDA” , all you need to do is mix and stir . That’s all your sweet ready …
Recipe source – good food magazine adv column
condensed milk – 1 tin (approx 400gm)
Milk – 1/2 cup
Milk powder – 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp (adjust to get the consistency)
APF – 1 tbsp ( actual recipe calls for corn flour- which was n’t available in my pantry so replaced it )
Clarified butter or GHEE – 1tbsp
Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
Take the heavy bottomed vessel , and add all the ingredients give above , gently mix and make sure no lumps.
Now keep the heavy bottomed vessel in the gas flame and start stirring . after some 5 to 7 minutes, it gently starts bubbles up, keep stirring it . after 10 minutes keep an eye. continuously stir it so that it wont form a lump. keep your eye on this after 13 minutes , you can see that this mixture wont stick in to the kadai . off the kadai and allow it to cool.
- The Actual recipe calls for 2 tbsp of milk powder but when i used only 2 tbsp i couldn’t get the thickness so ended up adding 1/4 cup of milk powder.
- Keep stirring is the only advice for getting the right texture. All will take less than 20 minutes.
