While coming back i went to some farm land and grabbed the brinjal , snake guard and Perrkangai , It was organic. It was very cheap too. Now i have 2 1/2 kg of Brinjal for 2 members ; ) Thinking of how utilize it nicely. So back with bang and with cookies, Coming to this recipe,i never knew i can make cookies with Whole wheat flour. I was searching for Cashew cookies, after i have prepared Kaju katli i had some left over, so wanted to prepare some cookies when i searched i landed up there. Just altered few according to my taste.
Caution : The moment u prepared try to hide it or distribute it .. Because its very tasty and u finish everything ..
Recipe Adoption : Blend With spices
Whole wheat flour – 1 cup
Sugar – 1/2 cup
Butter – 1/2 cup (at room temperature)
Cashew – 1/2 cup
Essence – 1 tsp ( i used my butter scotch)
Milk – few drops or a tbsp to make a dough.
Grind the Cashew and sugar together make sure its powdered finely. Take a wide bottomed vessel and add the wheat flour and powdered cashew sugar powder. mix well gently, then add the essence and butter and mix it it forms a crumble texture now sprinkle some milk and form the smooth dought, Make sure you are not pouring the milk , because we have added sugar and cashew it tend to loose as early. So Caution on that.
Now pre Heat the oven and fill the baking tray with Baking paper. Now take a pinch of dough and form a ball and Press it to make a flattened shape. Else you can also knead the dough to semi thick shape and use the cutter to make the shape, But it depends on the thickness the cooking time , if u are making ball and do the flattening it takes not less than 15 minutes, mine got 20 minutes. so make sure what kind of cookies u need. do the same procedure for rest of the dough.
Then keep the flattened cookies on the tray by leaving enough space, and bake it at 180 degree celius for 20 minutes, + or – 2 to 3 minutes, Mine got ready in 20 minutes, Allow it be cool and keep it in the cool rack and store it in the air tight bottle, No idea of how long it will stay , because its addictive, u do not need to worry . believe it must have a good one week shell life.
- Do not pour milk instead just sprinkle milk.
- While baking caution needed after 15 minutes,
- For consecutive batch pre heat does not required.
- Mentioned sugar level is perfect.
