Preparation time : 30 minutes
servings : 3 to 4
cooking time : 15 to 20 minutes
idle time – 1 hours +
Recipe source :uma’skitchenexperiment
To make the dough
All Purpose flour – 1 1/2 cup
salt – 1/ 2 tsp
sugar – 1 tsp
water – 3/ 4 cup to 1 cup (adjust according to the dough)
Instant yeast – 3/4 Table spoon (actual recipe calls for Active dry yeast of 1 tbsp )
Olive oil – 2 tbsp
To make the stuff
Corn – 1/2 cup
cheese – 1/2 cup grated
For the Paste
Unsalted butter – 1/2 cup
Garlic – 7 to 8 pods
red chilly flakes – 2 tsp (again adjust according to the family taste)
any seasoning – 1/2 tsp ( i used my italian seasoning)
If u are using active dry yeast , you should prove it first by adding the sugar, salt, 1/2 cup luke warm water, yeast once proved , add it to the all purpose flour and gently mix and make a dough add required amt of water to make a smooth dough then add the olive oil and mix well and then allow the dough to raise double in size.
If u are using instant yeast like me , you can directly add it to the dough and mix it. and keep the dough covered using the cling wrapper.
Mean while you can prepare the stuff and paste , To make a paste, Remove the garlic skin and grind in to the smooth paste, take a butter in a cup and add the salt and red chilly flakes, and mix well , then add the garlic paste and seasoning and mix well
Now steam the corn for 5 minutes either u can steam it in the cooker or use your microwave ,then strain the water from corn and shred the cheese using the grater and mix it with corn , I feel corn itself is having salt, so i didnt add , if u want it you can add.
Once the dough raised , punch it down to remove the air from the dough ,and roll it in the surface by pouring some flour on the floor, cut the dough in to three equal parts, work it on one by one, now take one dough and use your roller pin and roll in to circle shape make sure its semi thick , now spread the garlic butter paste on the dough, and keep some corn stuffing and close it as seen in the picture below, and seal it completely so that the stuffing wont come while baking. do the same procedure for rest of the dough.
Now brush the top with the garlic spread and make some strips on the top using your cutter, and leave it for 20 minutes by covered, it will raise slightly not in double,
Then pre heat the oven and bake it for 15 to 20 minutes @ 200 degree Celsius. Otherwise bake till its brown color , Then while serving you can brush again with garlic paste and slice it and serve.

- Care should be take on yeast , if u are using active dry yeast make sure its prove otherwise pls do not use that packet, If is instant yeast , you can add it directly .
- Stuffing is up to you, You can make your own stuffing too
- coming to garlic paste, i would suggest to stick on to this paste , its yummy
