Paneer Jalfrezi | Easy Paneer recipes

So i am slowly settling down to my routine, after a hectic travel, schedule. After my Mixed vegetable curry , i reserved few veggies to make paneer jalfrezi, i should admit that this is first time i tasting the recipe, quiet different from the usual stuff, its neither like  mixed vegetable curry nor like gravy, and masala’s along with vegetables and paneer were definitely hit.

So making paneer jalfrezi is easy and i loved the curry completely because it has loaded with vegetables, peas, corn.Every Bit of the curry i could taste the paneer and loads of vegetables. I realized why i love paneer, because how ever you cook, it produce the best test, Without further delay to recipe.

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking time :20 minutes
Servings – 4 members

Mixed vegetables – 1 cup (cut in to long strips)
{ Tomato (without seed cut in to big chunk), Long beans, bell peppers, cabbage, onion)
Green peas & sweet corn –  1/4 cup

Salt – as required
turmeric powder – a pinch
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Green chilly – 1 cut in to strip
red chilly powder – 1 tbsp
garam masala powder – 1 tbsp ( i used my pav bhajji masla)
tomato puree – 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp (adjust according to the need)
Kasturi methi leaves – 1 tsp crushed
Oil – 2 tbsp +  2 tsp
mustard seeds – 1 tsp
jeera – 1tsp


Precook the green peas and corn puloa in a separate kadai by adding the required amt of salt, once boiled strained it completely and keep aside. Heat the kadai and add the oil once heat add the mustard seeds once cracked add the jeera and saute for a minute, then add the chopped onion and saute well.

Once onion color changes add the ginger garlic paste. saute till raw smell goes, then add the tomato puree and mix well , now add the salt, turmeric powder, and other spice powder and allow it to boil completely till it oozes it oil , sprinkle little water if needed.

Now add the mixed vegetables like which requires more time to cook, i added  the beans, cabbage then saute well for 5 to 8 minutes , once it cooked add the red bell pepper and saute for 3 to 4 minutes, once it blend well then add the boiled peas and corn and mixes well, finally add the paneer and crushed kasthuri methi leaves and saute for 5 more minutes,

Off the flame serve it with hot phulka/ roti/ naan.


  • Adding the vegetables according to the cooking required time, if it takes time add those veggies first.
  • Add the paneer finally and do not cook completely let it be half cooked with spices of masala’s which taste best.
  • I do not have normal baby corn so added the sweet corn, if u do want you can omit.
  • Also I prepared my own tomato puree , you can try store bought one too.
  • Make sure paneer and vegetables are in equal ration so that u take paneer and veggies in every taste. 
  • Also Cut the vegetables in to long strips so that it will take less time to cook
