Instant of Rice sevai you can replace this simple tadka recipe with idiyappam too. Purely optional and so as customized. I am sure this one is handy when u are in urgent, I feel concord brand is damm good when it comes to instant Rice sevai mix, Its pretty easy to make the Rice sevai, Everything comes under 15 minutes.
Now a days due to hectic job pressure and stress , Rajesh is expecting something light and variety Breakfast. So he specifically asked me to away from the Routine Idly and Dosai for few days. So to started off , I prepared the Instant rice sevai and pepper rice sevai (will update next week) along with Coconut chutney. It came out super delicious and i personally enjoyed my breakfast. The recipe calls for simple ingredients and it can be customized according to our available ingredients.All set to go? Right ?
Instant Sevai packet – 1 no (500 gms)
Oil – 1 tsp
mustard seeds – 1tsp
urad dal – 2 tsp
curry leaves – few
onion – 1 medium size finely chopped
green chilly – 1 no finely chopped
Salt -as required
Cook the sevai as per the instruction given in the packet, I have used the concorde sevai ready made, so as per the instruction i immersed the sevai in the Hot water for 4 minutes and strain the water completely and keep the drained sevai for 5 minutes as it is. When i checked after 5 minutes, i could see the separated as well as cooked sevai . Is nt a easy job ? 😀
Heat the kadai and pour the oil once heat, add the mustard seeds once cracked add the urad dal and saute til it turns semi brown , then add the green chilly, finely chopped onion and curry leaves and adjust salt.
Saute till onion cooked, then add the instant sevai , and mix well and keep the mixture in the flame (medium) for 5 minutes,
Your sevai is ready. Then off the flame and serve it along with Coconut chutney or fried gram chutney
- I used the ready made packet of sevai , if u want home made recipe you can replace the sevai with home made idiyappam.
- The tempering is optional , you can customized according to the wish, amma add some ginger and replace the green with red chilly .
