All purpose flour -1 cup
Wheat flour – 1/2 cup
baking powder – 1tsp
olive oil – 2 tbsp
warm water – as required to make the dough
salt – as required
Take a wide bottomed vessel and add the APF, salt, baking powder, wheat flour, olive oil. Give a mix, so that its even mixed. Then add a warm water slowly and starting making the dough. initially it will be like crumble texture, later it form a mass volume and you can make dough.
Leave as it is for 15 minutes and divide the dough in to equal parts and again leave it for 15 more minutes, Then take one ball and start kneading to the circle shape by dusting some flour on the counter as well as on the dough. Heat the tawa mean while, once its hot place the kneaded one wait till it starts bubbles up. Then turn it to other side and wait till its cooked.
Knead the remaining balls and do the same procedure. Now if your want to freeze just place it in the zip lock cover. pack it and keep it in the freezer, it can be used later by bringing it to the room temparature. and heat it in the tawa and do the wrap !
- You can use butter instead of olive oil then this recipe wont be vegan.
- If you are health freak person then just replace the APF with Whole wheat .
- If you give some idle time after the dough prepared it becomes softer. It can be made immediately too once the dough ready.
