Veg Fried Rice (indo chineese version) with step by step photos and detailed procedure
Last time when i updated the veg fried rice, i added soya sauce, and no color veggies . This time i wanted to try restaurant style veg fried rice, becoz i always fascinate about their separated long basmathi rice with colorful veggies , So i planned the side dish then proceed with my own variations, Yes i can say i am close to that, but still this time i have not added the soya sauce instead i added the Red chilly sauce. I am super happy with the result and separated long rice with colorful veggie?is n’t it?
I have some left over basmathi rice, which i used it for the ghee rice, it was super hit at home . So try on guys i am sure you can surprise your family.
Basmathi Rice – 3/4 cup
Mixed vegetables – 1 cup
(i used onion ,red pepper, yellow pepper,beans, carrot)
Spring onion leaves – 1/4 cup
Garlic – 1 piece crushed.
Green chilly – 2 nos
pepper powder – 1/2tsp
green chilly sauce – 1tbsp
Red chilly sauce – 1 tbsp
salt – as required
Oil – 1 tbsp + 1 tsp
soak the Basmathi rice for 45 minutes, and cook it Measuring1 3/4 cup of water. Once cooked, immediately transfer the rice to wide plate, and pour the tsp of oil, using fork just separate it . allow it to cool completely.
Finely the chop all the required vegetables. I want all the veggies to be chopped in to small size, as the restaurant serves, so i did. If not you can cut in to straight too . Heat the kadai and pour the tbsp of oil, once hot, add the chopped onion,garlic and green chilly saute for a minute.
Once onion cooked, add the mixed vegetables and saute till its get half cooked,adjust the salt and add the pepper give nice mix. Then add the green chilly sauce and garlic sauce, mix well . saute till its get cooked. Off the flame.
Now add the cooked rice and mix well. Before adding the full rice, add little by little so that you can see the mixing evenly. once every thing added and blended.add the spring onions finally . serve it with any gravy or dry dishes, I served along with chill paneer.
- I have not used cabbage due to non availability , You can also use that.
- Also i have not used soya sauce due to color change in Rice, if u like please use a 1/2 tbsp
- Make sure the rice is separated well so that you can see the restaurant style Rice
- If u have left over basmathi Rice, just saute it in the ghee and adjust salt and taste. you thank me.
