Refreshing Cantaloupe Lemonade juice
Cantaloupe lemonade is a refreshing summer juice recipe, a tall glass of juice along with sabja seeds with lemon zest and lemon juice makes tummy full and you definitely feel the freshness of the fruits. Its good to have a lemonade recipe in hand , so that you can make n no of easy summer drink out of it. I have taken a short cut method of making lemonade, instead you can make your own lemonade batch from scratch. Last year i badly wanted to post this recipe, ended up posting honeydew melon juice . Read the story there, you will know. This year we have had lots of fruits and different varieties of juice from the fresh fruits too. Even though i have updated few juice variety, i love taking lots of juice during summer.
Cantaloupe or muskmelon or sweet melon, it has lots of name. cantaloupe generally eaten as a fresh fruit, as a salad, or dessert its always good to wash and dry the melon thoroughly before you cut in to halves. Once you cut , you can refrigerate the melon by covering in cling wrap it stays fresh for three days. During child hood, we buy this fruits cut in to two halves after cleaning, remove the seeds, and scope the pulp and add some sugar and mash it completely and have it. apart from that we never ever tried juice or other varieties of recipes using this fruit, being blogger i started exploring recipes, plus what ever i eat outside i see the menu, i note it down and try to replicate the same. cantaloupe lemonade is one such recipe, i recently had in one restaurant, they have added orange juice in that, i replaced it with lemon. Hope you like it.
- Cantaloupe - 1 cup cubed
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- lemon zest - ½ tsp shredded
- water - as required
- sugar - 1 tbsp (optional )
- sabja seeds - 1 tbsp
- ice cubes - as required
- Take a mixie jar , add the cantaloupe cubes, lemon juice, lemon zest along with sugar and water.
- Grind it completely.
- Strain the juice, ,now add the sabja seeds in the immerse level of water for 5 minutes.
- It bubbles up.
- Then add the sabja seeds to the fresh juice, give a mix, add the icecubes
- Serve it cool.
Sugar is purely optional, due to diet plan i have not added the sugar , but the fruit itself has the natural sugar so i had it as such.
if you have enough time, you can make lemonade separately and finally mix both the fruit juice and lemonade and can add the ice cubes and sabja seeds, and can serve.
You can also replace the lemon with Fresh orange juice,
The same cantaloupe juice can be mixed with other fruits like mango, strawberry, watermelon.
